Munsiyari offers some of the best pashmina shawls, angora woolen garments and sheep wool carpets (Dan). Organic potatoes are grown here and quite famous. However, the shopping can be done only at The Main Market. You can do limited shopping in Munsiyari. Buy tribal handmade knick-knacks or woolens made by locals. The villages in the vicinity are known to make a livelihood by weaving and they come to Munsiyari main market to sell their products. However, if you really want to buy such items at a great price you may visit the Darkot village which is around 6km away from the main market where every house is engaged in producing such items.
Tourists can purchase all kind of handicrafts and woolen items such as Pashmina shawls and cap, hand-woven carpets and woolen items made out of Angola fur of Angola Rabbit. One can also purchase locally produced Munsiyari Rajma and Potatoes. Munsiyari Rajma is world famous and available in different colors such as red, plain white and white with black spots.
